What Are the Types of Infant Socks?

Infant socks are used to keep the baby's feet warm. Infants and young children should always wear socks. Without socks, the baby's feet will lose a protective layer. Especially when wearing open-toed sandals, it is easy to cause foot injuries. At the same time, it will make the baby's soft feet skin dry and rough and even get footpads if babies are not wearing socks. Since infant socks are so important, what are the types of infant socks?

Ⅰ. Cotton infant socks

Generally, socks with a cotton content of more than 75% can be called all-cotton socks. Socks with a cotton content of 85% are very high-end cotton socks. Others need to add some functional fibers to maintain the elasticity, fastness and comfort of the socks. Polyester, spandex, and nylon are very common functional fibers.

Ⅱ. Polyamide infant socks

The scientific name of polyamide is polyamide fiber. Polyamide and nylon have similar properties. They are strong and wear-resistant. It is the most wear-resistant and strongest synthetic fiber. It has lightweight and good elasticity. Adding nylon to infant socks can maintain high elasticity.

Ⅲ. Spandex infant socks

Spandex is commonly known as elastic fiber, which has high elasticity and strong flexibility. Its stretched length can reach 5-7 times of the original fiber. Textile products with spandex can always maintain the original contour. The ingredients of infant socks must contain spandex to make the socks have elasticity and shrinkage and make the socks fit closely. Just like a swimsuit, they can be tightly wrapped around the feet without slipping off.

Ⅳ. Nylon infant socks

Nylon is the first synthetic fiber to appear in the world. The appearance of nylon has given a new look to textiles. The synthesis of nylon is a major breakthrough in the synthetic fiber industry.

Ⅴ. Bamboo fiber infant socks

The bamboo fiber fabric also has the characteristics of soft and elegant, comfortable to the hand, and wear-resistant, non-balling, moisture-absorbing, quick-drying, and breathable. Different from cotton, wood and other viscose fibers, it has good antibacterial properties and health care effects. Bamboo fiber contains an antibacterial substance called "bamboo kun". Bamboo fiber infant socks have natural antibacterial, anti-mite and anti-odor properties.
